On October 26, 2024, ACE Advisory Board Member Marvellous Iheukwumere participated in the 21st Annual Columbia Africa Conference as a speaker on the panel entitled "The Landscape of African Sports: Current Trends and Future Prospects". The discussion featured Aisha Shuaibu, President of SWA Sports. The conversation focused on the following topics related to African sports: athlete development and its challenges, the intersection of sports with other sectors, and future opportunities. Launched in 2004, the Columbia Africa Conference, formerly the Africa Economic Forum, is the largest Africa-focused event at Columbia University, bringing together students, alumni, professionals, and leaders who are passionate about Africa’s growth and development.
